Harris is a servant leader; an entrepreneur with a deep sense of community. A native of Concord, Harris grew up around his family’s real estate and building materials business, where he gained an early appreciation for the built environment.

Upon earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University, Harris went to work for H.C. “Smoky” Bissell, assisting in developing the SouthPark and Ballantyne areas of Charlotte, as well as brokering office and industrial transactions. He then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from MIT and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He started Harris Morrison Company in 2006 (relaunched in 2017 as New Branch Real Estate Advisors), a commercial real estate firm focused on serving clients in the Charlotte metro area with a focus on Cabarrus County. In 2018, he founded Fortius Capital Partners 🡕, a real estate development and investment firm focused on industrial properties; he now devotes much of his time to this company.

When he’s not at work in his many enterprises, Harris can be found spending time with his wife Kate and their three children. He also loves being outdoors–camping, fishing, gardening, and playing golf. He also serves as Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 3 in Concord, is an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Concord, and is a past president of Cooperative Christian Ministry.
